Not a technical "How To" book...

I am just getting into reloading and was expecting some helpful information for reloading from this book. It is not a "how to" book in any way. After being disappointed in the bulk of the book, where I thought there would be reloading procedures and guidance, I thought there would at least be a redeeming portion in the back in the section showing loads. But the "loads" are not really loads at all! It just shows different lengths of barrels and what specific weight and types of bullets the author got to shoot accurately from that barrel. But it doesn't tell you what kind of powders he used or what amount. Not at all what I was looking for in a reloading book. **What this book does, is talk about the authors years of reloading experience. both failures and successes, and it also gives a lot of history regarding reloading, and different cartridges.

About the Author
STEPHEN WADE NEBGEN has close to 40 years in the entertainment industry, first as a producer and then becoming an attorney with a specialty in entertainment law. His clients include film, television, and theater companies, musicians, actors, and artists. He counsels clients regarding business formation, intellectual property matters in copyright and trademarks, contract negotiations and other corporate matters. He has also been called upon as an "expert witness" regarding entertainment issues in various litigation matters. He teaches Entertainment Law at a number of universities and colleges and has lectured extensively on Entertainment Law matters at numerous seminars and symposiums. As a producer, among other credits, He was the General Manager at The Lambs Theatre located at 44th Street and Broadway, in NY City. Mr. Nebgen also produced such prominent Off-Broadway plays as the 20th Anniversary Revival of "Fortune and Men's Eyes" and "Bert See's The Light", which featured Jack Black in his New York theatre debut. Mr. Nebgen received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University in Religious Studies, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to earn his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law and co-founded The Texas Review of Entertainment and Sports Law. WENDY KEMP AKBAR represents clients in all aspects of intellectual property, particularly patent infringement and invalidity litigation, trademark, trade dress and copyright litigation, Lanham Act, unfair competition, trade secret, false advertising and licensing disputes. She also advises and assists clients on transactional intellectual property matters, and helps companies to identify, protect, license and audit their intellectual property assets. is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, representing the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards. I just wanted to counter the previous reviewer. This book isn't intended as something for beginners, and certainly could only be well taught as a graduate level math course. Still if you're able to take in bits at a time, there's lots of beautiful theory and history of higher dimensional polytopes. A book that takes a lifetime to write can take a lifetime to appreciate, and this is such a book.

Takes up where Sommerville left off

An Introduction to the Geometry of N Dimensions which I have used well over the years seems be a good book to go with this one.
It may takes me years to get the worth of this book,
but I have already the first yield.
The combination of group theory with higher dimensions
in combinatorial topological terms has been a 20th century gold mine
of new ideas and new groups.
That some of the results have seeded the Engineering
mathematics of error correcting codes should be noted.
That Cosmology has recently been using both Coxeter and Cartan to
see back toward the beginning of time shows that physics hasn't been blind to geometry.

This book is a classic in the field and written by the man who revitalised the entire field of geometry. It is not intended as a step-by-step guide to making polyhedral models. But if you want a grasp on polytopes in n-dimensional space, this is the book for you.

The cover and figures would benefit from a new edition but the mathematical content is concise and comprehensible.

Dated history

Unfortunately this book was written some time ago and it misses our 21st century perspective on the Big 4. If you want to learn about Crocker, Huntington, Stanford and Hopkins this is a great starting point. But the book completely ignores important figures in this history like Stephen Gage, their attorney and mastermind. Gage was the reason that their power extended into Nevada, he controlled Congress and he masterminded the monopoly on transporting coal. How someone like this is not in a Big 4 history is mind-boggling.

Great resource!

Awesome and powerful book on closing techniques. But it is not just a book on technique, it also explains the psychology behind the technique.

The first part of the book is worth the price alone as it talks about the sales situation and why it brings up tension between you and the prospect. Irrational fears surface in the prospect which get blurted out as ''i dont have the money'' or ''i dont have the time'' or ''i have to talk to my wife'' He explains that most of the time, these are smoke screens for underlying fears of failure, making a mistake and many times, success itself. Yes people have a set point of success within them that has kept them, what their subconscious mind considers, ''safe'' for their whole life. So when faced with a way to move forward, many times they hesitate.

I am in network marketing and this is the first book that i bought which explains this tension. Most network marketing comapnies want to avoid too much training in sales and closing techniques and try to take sales out of the process. This is for good reason but also limits the new distributor in that he or she is listening to cds of the top leaders in that company and realizes that most of them are master salesmen who are masters of closing!!!

These companies try to tell their distributors that inviting people to join their MLM is just like ''recommending a good restaurant or a movie'' I always KNEW this wasn't the case because it felt a lot different to me. I just didnt know WHY until i read this book. This book has helped me tremendously to understand what profession i am in instead. I know it will help me help other people get past the barriers they have to success and moving to a higher level in their lives.

From reading great masters like Brian Tracy and Tom Hopkins, Zig Ziglar and brilliant but lessor known, David Neagle(The Millions Within) i have learned to RESPECT the sales profession which, when viewed with integrity, is a profession where you learn to help other people, doing something FOR them, not TO them.

This book is a great resource which brings understanding and integrity into that process,
