Not an Engineering book, For Physicists and Students

This book is great, if you are a physicist or a student attending her lectures. It goes very deep into magnetism at a quantum level, way too deep from an engineering and manufacturing point of view. I was hoping for more specific information on the development of the "new" magnets like the rare earths such as NdFeB and Samariam Cobalt along with more applications than just hard drives and opto-electronics.

Magnetic materials are used vastly in motors, material handling, medical, aerospace and semiconductor industries as well as fun stuff like maglev trains and space applications, none of this is even mentioned in the book. I had hoped for some useful breakdowns of the commercially available materials with grades and hysteresis curves, it is called magnetic materials! I think it would be better to title this magnetic physics.

As an engineer in a magnetics company it is useful only from a theoretical perspective, it does not go into magnetic circuits and the like and that's a disappointment for the relatively high price. The price is mainly because they print on demand and also because it's part of the university textbook racket system between professors and publishing companies. Still if you are competent and interested in the quantum level dynamics of magnetics you should get this, otherwise go for another book.

This is a good book for a first look at magnetics (2nd or 3rd year students). It is relatively up to date and clearly written. My students will enjoy using this book.

Only the centrality of Christ and the Cross offers hope for a genuine blending of beliefs into an Evangelical-Pentecostal theology for the twenty-first century.
This writing, then, is offered as a biblically balanced treatment of classical Pentecostal theology. As a life-long Pentecostal, I feel permitted, yet humbled, to speak to Pentecostals. In one direction, imbalance may occur if the truths of holiness, the Spirit, and healing are softened.
Compromise is not an option. The holiness-Pentecostal heritage remains too priceless to surrender for any alliance. However, imbalance may occur at the other end of the spectrum—by overstating the claims of the distinctive experiences of the movement.
A return to the biblical base allows Evangelicals an opportunity to see the attractiveness of Pentecostalism, without any abuses or excesses. This project directs every eye in both the Evangelical and Pentecostal communities to behold the beauty of the balance in the Word of the Lord and the Lord of the Word.

Excellent Book - The Title Says it All

Not only does Dr. Terry Tramel provide a balanced biblical and theological comparison between Pentecostal and Evangelical theology, he does so in a respectful and humble way. Avoiding extremes of either/or mutually exclusive positions, he finds common ground between traditional Pentecostal and Evangelical theological foundations. In addition, he presents a balanced perspective as both a biblical scholar/college professor and a pastor/preacher/practitioner. He writes as a Pentecostal, appealing to both Pentecostals and Evangelicals to recognize the significant points of agreement between both. Finally, he includes a refreshing devotional component, infusing living water into a topic others might treat as a dusty doctrinal treatise. His writing will both inform and inspire. I highly recommend this work to those who truly wish to understand either a Pentecostal or Evangelical perspective, or the common biblical framework both share.

I love this book

I love this book. A lot of Pathology information on pretty much everything you'll see in the clinical setting. There is a lot of relevant info in the implications sections that can help you with your thought processes if you encounter more complex pathologies. It also follows the Guide to PT Practice, which is what all the questions on the board exam and clinical specialty exams are based on. I did dock one star due to it not listing or making small references to some tests or measures used for some cardiopulmonary and neuro pathologies, and also having some heavy repetition in some topics. Overall this is quite a hefty book and is the thickest book on my bookshelf, but it is very useful and has enough info to understand at a professional level mostly any complex patient pathology you may see in any setting.
